Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine and is where we can talk about books we are looking forward to being released!

The Last Echo by Kimberly Derting
The Last Echo by Kimberly Derting (The Body Finder #3)

Violet has always kept her strange ability to sense dead bodies a secret from everyone except her family and best-friend-turned-boyfriend Jay. But now she’s using her gift to help track down murderers, working in a group that includes the mysterious and dangerously attractive Rafe. When Violet discovers the body of a college girl murdered by “the girlfriend collector”, she is determined to solve the case. But now the serial killer is on the lookout for a new “relationship” and Violet seems to have caught his eye…

I’m a HUGE fan of the Body Finder books. And I absolutely love Kimberly Derting’s writing. Both The Body Finder and Desires of the Dead (books 1 and 2) are compelling, gripping and rather creepy. Whilst they do have an element of paranormal storyline to them (Violet can sense dead bodies after all), they are predominantly YA thriller/crime stories, a genre which I never thought I would ever really be interested in. But that certainly isn’t the case here. I’ve been impatiently awaiting the release of The Last Echo, the third book in the series which is to be released in March this year, and cannot wait to dive back into another creep fest with Violet and her friends!

I haven't read this series yet some how it just hasn't caught my eye but the plot for this book sounds interesting kind reminds me of all the silence of the lambs type movies I've seen. Where the killer becomes fascinated by the person trying to catch him. Good choice. Click on my name to se my picks.

It is isn't it? That's the American one and it matches the first two. But the UK one for The Last Echo has been changed so that its completely and drastically different to the others 🙁

So I'm gonna try and get my hands on the American cover. If I can. I like my covers to match lol
