Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish to show off our book-related lists!
It’s been a good year for books! I’ve read 33 so far this year and to be honest I’ve enjoyed pretty much all of them all in their own special way. I’ve narrowed it down to books that were published/are going to be published in 2013. Here are my favourite books so far this year:
Top Ten Books
I’ve Read So Far in 2013
Fab ending to a fab series (and made me weep like a baby at the end). Best love triangle ever.
Dark comedy at its finest. Loved the Savages and their not-so-traditional diet.
Truly exceptional world-building. Loved the unique Mongolian inspiration and the promise knots.
Heart-pounding, time-travelling mind bender that’s an amazing mix of action, great characters and love.
Vivid and gritty, Penryn and Raffe dragged my heart through the ringer in this scary dystopian world.
You can’t really go wrong with a Heist Society book, and this one had an added dose of Hale!
Evocative novel with one of my favourite narrators in a long time. Carey and her story were exceptional.
Been excited for this ever since it was announced and it completely lived up to all my expectations. Spooky, mysterious and the best book trio since Harry Potter.
I laughed, I cried, it was the wonder of Wonder indeed. BIG HUGS to Auggie and all his family and friends.
It only needs one word. STURMHOND.
Special mentions to Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver (the action!), The Fault in Our Stars by John Green (the FEELS!), Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell (the sweetness!) who were published in earlier years but I only had the pleasure of reading in 2013.
