Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine, where we feature a book we are looking forward to being released!

Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson

Steelheart (Reckoners #1)
by Brandon Sanderson

Ten years ago, Calamity came. It was a burst in the sky that gave ordinary men and women extraordinary powers. The awed public started calling them Epics. But Epics are no friend of man. With incredible gifts came the desire to rule. And to rule man you must crush his wills.

Nobody fights the Epics…nobody but the Reckoners. A shadowy group of ordinary humans, they spend their lives studying Epics, finding their weaknesses, and then assassinating them.

And David wants in. He wants Steelheart – the Epic who is said to be invincible. The Epic who killed David’s father. For years, like the Reckoners, David’s been studying, and planning – and he has something they need. Not an object, but an experience.

He’s seen Steelheart bleed. And he wants revenge.

Ever since I read The Rithmatist, I will follow anything this man writes. I have the Mistborn saga sitting on my shelves but she sheer volume is scaring me at the moment. Thank goodness for Steelheart, which sounds like the most epic superhero fantasy ever, just from the blurb. I’m so thrilled for this book!

Brandon Sanderson is an author I keep hearing so much about, and I do keep meaning to read his books but the sheer volume of his Mistborn series intimidates me! I was so glad to see this on Goodreads that it went on my TBR shelf straight away. I can't wait until it releases!

This book sounds incredible! I haven't actually read any of Brandon Sanderson's work, but I've heard wonderful things, so I'll definitely be checking it out when it releases. Great pick!
