Top Ten Tuesday banner

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish to show off our book-related lists!

I haven’t done one of these in a while, but it’s always been my tradition to mark my top ten books of the year so far! This time it has been relatively easy picking my top list. I read lots of enjoyable 4 stars, but not many 5 stars. Without further ado, here is my list!

  1. Whee, yes to A Darker Shade of Magic! I’ve already reread it once because it’s just so flipping amazing. Dreams of Gods and Monsters is another amazing book.

I was really looking forward to A Court of Thorns and Roses and now that I finally own it, I’m not in the mood to read it at all. =/

Definitely need to read that Thor comics. Basically, I just need more comics in my life. Also, Jandy Nelson’s books.

My favorites are definitely Lumatere Chronicles, A Darker Shade of Magic, Lumatere Chronicles, Red Rising, More Than This, The Wrath and the Dawn, Saving Francesca and The Piper’s Son. So glad to have so many favorites this year.

I keep hearing so many amazing things about Lumatere. I’ve had Finnikin on my shelf for ages, so I might bump it up my TBR soon! I’ve also heard great things about The Wrath and the Dawn, but I don’t think it’s published here in the UK.

I hope you’ll be in the mood for ACOTAR soon. I loved this book so much!

  3. I LOVE your graphics for this week! A Darker Shade of Magic and Dreams of Gods and Monsters are two on my wishlist. ACOTAR was one of my favourites from 2015 too, and while I enjoyed The Sky Is Everywhere, it wouldn’t be a favourite, I found the unique writing style to be difficult in places, but I enjoyed it overall. Looking forward to I’ll Give You The Sun. I started it, but put it down after a few chapters. Think I need a break from Nelson’s heart breaking writing before I dive back in! R x

Someone recommended A Darker Shade of Magic to me on Goodreads so seeing it on your list made me more excited!

I love your graphics! If only I had been blessed with creativity haha!

I LOVE your graphics! There are a few of these I’m unfamiliar with so I’ll have to check them out! ACOTAR was wonderful!

  6. A Darker Shade of Magic was so amazing! I’m also looking forward to Thor and Dreams of Gods and Monsters (although I don’t want the series to end…).

    Check out my TTT.
