Oh, this is fun! But it pains me to match characters when I already know with whom they end up with, so I'm choosing a couple that I still don't know who their loved ones are (mostly because I haven't finished the series yet), and that I actually think would make a great pair, and they are: BITTERBLUE from Graceling by Kristin Cashore and GEN from Megan Whalen Turner's The Thief. Their are both quite young, so I'm sending them to a fair, or better: to Disney World! :D

Kylie from Shadow Falls series and Puck from The Iron Fey. Well, the pairing might have had to do with the fact that Kylie had similar features & characteristics to Puck's love interest, Meghan. They're both supernaturals, passionate and when action calls, they follow. I'd love to see if they can survive a human event, Prom :)

Okay, let me think. This is though… very tough :S
Perhaps Duarte from "Cybele's Secret" by Juliet Marillier and Isobel from "The Night Circus" by Erin Morgenster because both of them were "rejected" by those they loved and both deserved to have someone who cared for them. And, since Isobel has been all over the world with the circus and Duarte is a pirate who also knows the world, I would send them both to Moon were they could watch Earth ^_^

I'd pair up Charlie from THE PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER with Hermione Granger from the HARRY POTTER series. They'd be such a cute couple – both wallflowers in their own way, but steadily growing more confident and wordly. They'd be able to support each other through the hard times, and Charlie might even persuade Hermione to have a little fun once in a while! For their summer date I'd send them to a little indie second-hand bookshop where they could scour the shelves together and swap favourite reads, then they'd go out for a picnic in the park. Charlie could bring sandwiches and cake, Hermione could bring chocolate frogs and Butterbeer, and they could sit and talk and enjoy each other's company all afternoon! *sighs happily* On second thoughts, budge over Hermione, I'll take this one… :)

    I believe I would pick…

Charlie Bone and Kendra Sorenson. *News Broadcaster Mode* Yes, ladies and gentlemen we have an adorable little young couple here. Barely teenagers both of them, so we're expecting a shy, awkward, and completely adorable get together tonight.

Charlie Bone, from Jenny Nimmo's "Charlie Bone" series has gotten up the courage to ask Kendra Sorenson from Brandon Mull's "FableHaven" out on a little excursion to the local park between their books. What's this? Charlie's mother has given him a packed picnic basket? How lovely! And Kendra has brought a lovely little quilt.

The faeries from Fablehaven are happily setting things up while Charlie and Kendra say their hellos.

We're off to a beautiful start here ladies and gentlemen. The two are actually smiling! Wait. What's this? A lightening storm? No…no… it looks like one of Charlie's friends is rushing into the mix before they even have their sandwiches. He's waving wildly. Something about… wait… there's interference. King?… Damage?… Bloor? We've lost audio! Charlie's friend is really emitting some heavy electrical bursts!

The kid is handing Charlie a picture. Charlie is saying something hastily to Kendra now. What's this! Kendra has just kissed Charlie Bone on the cheek! I REPEAT! CHARLIE BONE HAS JUST BEEN GIVEN A KISS! Now he's gone! Disappeared into a picture frame!

Charlie's stormy friend is motioning to Kendra now. Out of the woods! What's that!? A GOLEM? Running at full speed! It's snatched up Kendra and the storm boy! Like a hurricane it's all wind, thunder, and shaking ground here as the Golem runs off with the two youngsters back into the woods!

They're gone! WOW! It has been an INCREDIBLE series of events here ladies and gentlemen! I expected no less from the Bone-Sorenson date!!!!!!! TRULY REMARKABLE! *swats a faerie out of her hair*

Whoa, this is fun! :) Hmmmm, let's see. I'd probably pick Sam Roxton from Sophie Kinsella's I've Got Your Number and Claire Webster from Marian Keyes's Watermelon. I adore both of them and I think they'd be great together. *whispers* I love Sam so much more than Adam from Watermelon :D

Ooh, good one! This is hard though, I feel like I'm betraying my favourite character couples lol. The first ones that comes to mind are Perry from Under the Never Sky and Katniss from Hunger Games. They're both tough survivors, they'd do anything for their families, and they know how to survive in a post-apocalyptic world. I think their personalities would work well together, and I think they'd be good to and for each other. Thanks for a fun challenge!

  • Kai (Fiction State of Mind) says:

    Great contest!
I’m going to set up a Bromance date! I think Puck from the Iron King series and Gale from Hunger Games should somehow meet at far celebration and be each others wingmen! They both have known loss and deserve cute girls in their life :)

  • Stellar says:

oh, god this is hard! ima say Bertie from Eyes Like Stars and Sam from Incarnate. they are both well-educated, theatre-loving characters, and Bertie has the capacity to protect Sam. they would definitely go to a Shakespeare play for a summer vacation!
    My recent post SWUR Day 4 {Book Puzzle Challenge}

  • I'd pick Low from Because of Low because she's really loving and nurturing but needs to break out and experience the world a bit. I'd pair her with Lucas from Easy because he's a brilliant bad boy who loves to focus on his one woman and would be happy to show Low the world.

Well, I've been playing over in my head a list of memorable books and characters, because I am reluctant to choose someone who's already paired up in their own series – and I came up with Pam from the Southern Vampire series and Stefan from the Mercy Thompson series. She has a deadpan attitude to humanity, while he clings to his. She has a strange humor, he has a more honest approach to life. It would be so much fun to watch them together. I'm thinking… since they can't be out during the day, let's take them to a night showing of a vampire movie. I'd love to watch their reactions to that!

I'd have to with Juliette from Shatter Me and Will from The Infernal Devices! They both have all their problems and they would work together on making it all even. Plus we would defiently see some hot romance! Ah! 0_0

  • I would love to have beau from the vincent boys paired with sara jane from cold fury. I love both of these caracters so really it is just me putting two favorites together but I think they would also work really well. Sara is so kick but and Beau is just so thoughtful and manly. Sigh!

I made an update of my post here at the bottom of the 2 I chose, I even included some teasers.
I chose Dee from Obidian and Shadows by Jennifer L. Armentrout, and Nine from Power of Six and Rise of the Nine by Pitticus Lore (the Lorien Legacies series)
they are perfect for each other, He is super hot, black hair, tall muscular with great alien abilities, Dee is a female version of Daemon and Dawson, black hair startling green eyes, killer personality. She has some awesome alien abilities too. Both from another planet, both hiding from alien enemies, and the same age. I decided their date would be most fun going on a hike to the lake, and showing off each other's abilities. Have a picnic, have some other "fun" :) Here is my post (scroll to bottom of it for this challenge ) http://concisebookreviewsbymichelle.blogspot.com/

  • It's really hard to pick two main characters (since they are obviously perfect for each other). So, instead I will pick two supporting characters or friendsies.

The two perfect characters would be Jeremiah (from Jenny Han's Summer series) and Leah Clearwater (from Twilight series). I know! I know! Supernatural + Contemporary should not mix (unless it's Urban Fantasy). But put aside the fact that Leah is a werewolf!

    1. Jeremiah and Leah were both burned by the people they thought that loved

    2. Jeremiah (as seen from the third book) is brash and doesn't think things through. Leah is practical and organized. She's strong and she'll be able to keep Jeremiah in line.

    3. Leah is hard-edged on the outside, but vulnerable on the inside. Jeremiah's patience and sweetness will get to her and she'll fall in love with his "pestering" (OMG I feel a story coming on in my head!).

    4. Jeremiah is unexpectedly manly and has deep feelings. Leah is intrigued, but still keeps secrets about her wolfhood from him.

    5. Jeremiah tells her that Belly (his soon-to-be sister-in-law) used to be his fiance. Leah then gets the courage to tell him she's a werewolf and introduces him to her world. (Jacob sniggers in the back ground)

    6. Jeremiah is in disbelief, but eventually accepts the idea. Leah tells him that as a couple they are a mistake (she's afraid for his safety). Jeremiah tells her that their love can conquer anything.

    7. They proceed to have 1/2 human cubs (I love mixed heritage babies) and ride into the sunset. THE END.

Where they would go on a summer date: The cottage of course. Then Leah's village/reserve. They then compare the two beaches and agree that the beach at the cottage is warmer and sunnier.

  • I think that Violet from Embrace and Jack from Everneath could be together…..(or Lincoln from Embrace and Nikki from Everneath…they are interchangeable) because I think these characters are super similar…they've got the same vibe about them…..so I think swaping dates here wouldn't hurt anything……I would send them to a really exspensive/romantic resturant…because….well I could just see them there….oooohhhh.

  • @ninandda16 says:

I choose Thalia Grace from Percy Jackson series (Rick Riordan) and James from The Goddess Test series (Aimee Carter). Thalia knows how to kick asses, tough girl with tender heart, loyal, and she doesn't take bull from anyone. James has been burned with his quite unrequited love to Kate. He's hot but quiet, he's loyal and determined too. He will be a perfect match for Thalia, although I have a distant feeling that Zeus will probably kick James's ass.

Oh, and have I mentioned that Thalia is a demigod, daughter of Zeus, and James is Hermes in the series? Yeah, Zeus definitely will kick his ass. Please put away the fact that Thalia is now one of Artemis's hunters. Just close your eyes and pretend she's not. Because they are basically Grecian, I don't think Greece would be a perfect summer date for them. So I'm thinking of St. Tropes, France. Typical summer holiday in a beach, but St. Tropes is known for its beauty and both of them need a break (Thalia from the monsters, James from his family feud).

Hmmm… this is hard AND fun!__Okay, so if I had to couple up two characters from different series, I would pair up Jem from the mortal instruments series (by Cassandra Clare) and Kelsey from the Tiger's Curse series (by Colleen Houck). They would make a cute couple. __I think Kelsey and Jem should go dancing so that Jem could loosen up and enjoy the last few days of his life… (that is if he is actually going to die in the series… I hope not… :/)

  • Lynn K says:

I picked Sonea from Trudi Canavan's Magician Guild Trilogy and Kerrick from Maria V. Snyder's Touch of Power. Storywise both books are a little similar and both worlds have magic so I think they'd get along. For the summer date maybe they'd have a picnic in the woods. :)

  • Amanda Pearl says:

For me, I'd really like to see Rose Hathaway from Vampire Academy and Christian Grey from Fifty Shades of Gray mostly because I want Rose to slap that jerk around a bit and teach him some manners lol. I'd send them to a boxing ring and let Rose have at it. (ok maybe that's not so romantic, but man do I want to punch Christian!)

  • I chose Susannah from The Mediator Series and Chaol from Throne of Glass :
    http://booksmartie.blogspot.de/2012/08/summer-wra

  • Beckie says:

Very fun challenge! I would choose Patch from Hush, Hush series and Sabine from the Soul Screamers series. They both have that bad boy/girl thing going for them. hehe ;) On there Summer date I can see them both going to a water park and cutting in lie on all of the rides. They could have a picnic and for dessert eat "Angel" food cake.
After both Patch and Sabine could watch the stars on a blanket on top of a car….fall asleep together.

  • Cayce says:

This is hard, I don't really like to think of cross book couples, but let's see….Maybe Cole from Everneath (I don't like Nikki, the main girl of that book) and Kyla from Slated . As I think she needs someone stronger and more "wicked", than her current crush.

  • Valli says:

I think Darcy of Pride and Prejudice and Scarlett o' Hara of Gone with the wind will make a good couple.

  • Lori says:

I'd take John from Scarlet and match him up with Hana from Delirium. John is big and loud and strong and slightly forceful when it comes to getting what he wants and Hana is determined and loyal and brave and a bit stubborn. I think it would be fun to see them show their softer, quieter sides to each other. Since they're both athletic and adventurous, I think I'd send them on a hike in the woods with a nice picnic at the end.

  • Becky Paulk says:

I would choose Dee from Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout and Rykerian from Survival by A.M. Hargrove. Dee is super bubbly and fun and caring and she always looks amazing. Rykerian is sweet and emotional and is dresses like he just stepped out of a GQ magazine. I think these two would be a perfect match, because they are both Aliens, both super upbeat, and would complement each others looks beautifully. Besides Dee needs a guy who will love her and cherish her and Rykerian can do that. For their perfect summer date I think Rykerian would take Dee out to a night club (popular, but not crazy) for a night of dancing and then finish off the night by taking her down to a beach picnic in the sand filled with delicious, romantic desserts and hot chocolate.

  • Kristen says:

I think Chaol from Throne of Glass would have a great time with Alanna from The Song of the Lionness. :)

  • Emily says:

I think that Four from Divergent and Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games would make a cute couple! Both of them are really strong characters living in dystopian societies, fighting against oppressive governments. I think they would be able to fight "the man" together. Regardless the two of them would make an interesting story!

  • Lisa Bosco says:

Gale (The Hunger Games) and Kenji (Shatter Me) if they were both bi. :p They could bond over discussing military tactics and strategies. Plus, they both have similar stories – they both have to fight an evil dystopian government and they were both rejected by the girl they liked. Their date would probably be some light military/fighting training or something. Not the most romantic thing in the world. XD

  • I would pick Jacob from the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer and Anna Latham of the Alpha & Omega series by Patricia Briggs. They both are newly turned werewolves, and I think they could possibly be a very hot match!
